I have busied myself with the 2015 Quilt Exhibit. The exhibit went well, and we had fun together. The picture above is one that I longarm quilted for my sister. She originally told me to just do horizontal quilting all along the quilt. I kept looking at the quilt and ask her if I could do what I wanted. After some arm-twisting, she said OK and I got started!
I put large “fancy” quilting in the big empty areas of the quilt.
Next, I matched threads to the 9 different color in the quilt and used matching colors horizontally to match each row. Then to finish it, I put the white thread back on and did a pipeline filler on the whole quilt.
Personally, I think it is beautiful.
I pieced and quilted this one for my nephew. He said he wanted a sampler with greens.
Please go to Kyle Quilters for all the quilts in the show!
