We had a great holiday. This is one of the blessings of teaching, I get time off during the holidays! Much family and too much food! (All my fault, because I was the cook.) My oldest grandson really wanted the green quilt so it found a new home.
I got a great idea during this time at home that I should make a queen quilt for my wonderful mother-in-law. I bought matching layer cake and jelly roll from Moda and pieced a quilt for her. It is still one the APQS long arm and I spent New Years Eve and New Years morning quilting. I am using a free style called “echo echo swirl.” I think it really looks good. Remember, I still consider myself practicing!
I guess I will find out whether or not she reads my blog, because she will see her “surprise” before she receives it in the mail.
MJP, if you read this, I love you and appreciate all you do for us.
