Have you ever worked or done something in your head over and over before you were ready to tackle the task? This is part of a beautiful blue and yellow carpenter’s wheel. She wanted yellow thread on the yellow fabric and blue thread on the blue fabric. (You can click on the picture for an enlarged and closer look.) She asked for me to do some “custom” work. I watched YouTube videos and practiced in my head and on paper over and over.
I finally got the courage to quilt. I did a circle with swirls coming from the middle.
Then I did a swirl and feathers in the yellow squares and “echo, echo, swirl” on the outside blues.
After all the beginning angst, I think the quilts turned out beautiful.
Well, the next one is waiting: More experience, more lessons, and hopefully, more joy and beauty.
