My grandson, who turned eight this summer, went with me to a fabric sale. I told him he could pick out what he wanted. He picked out some really wild fabric. I looked at the fabric and was not sure how in the world I was going to make a quilt. He came to my house later and began to make sketches of what he wanted in his quilt. I was busy working on the raffle quilt so we waited until after school was out to work on the quilt.
Here is his quilt, and I think it turned out great!
He placed the black stripes where he wanted them and I cut the quilt and sewed the strips into the quilt. He is very proud.
This was really a lot of fun.
